Show piece destinations (valid moves and premoves)

This should be turned off by default.
This feature is not useful but is extremely annoying and a big distraction to anyone who already knows how chess pieces work- which would be 99.999% of your site visitors. Aesthetically, it makes the board look like it has some kind of contagious disease :P
True, you can turn this off in your account settings, but for those times you wish to play without being logged in (for myself when I"m feeling tired and like I'll loose) there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it off as anonymous. This is probably even costing you new users because first impressions count, and if the first impression is one of a chess site with annoying and unsightly features that there is no apparent way to disable they might not stick around long enough to create an account and realize that when you have an account you can disable it.
This is an awesome chess site, in my opinion the best, and I want to see it grow and get even better and that's why I'm providing this constructive feedback, thanks.
So do I. All the more this feature is a bit broken atm: it shows invalid i.e. impossible moves, too many of them specially for heavy pieces.
What? I know how the chess pieces work but it's still very useful sometimes. Say you have only a few seconds left and you need to avoid a chain of checks, it makes it much easier, for me at least.

Also I disagree with you on the aesthetics thing but that's personal preference

@tisme it only does that when you click on a piece during your opponent's turn

Does not matter. It's a bug. This feature is broken and distracting.
I don't think it's a bug, it doesn't show actual positions available because that can change after the opponents move. I find it helpful, you find it distracting
