Notice how who or what ever is in charge of things behind the scenes refuses to allow humans to find common ground? What if extraterrestrials are returning? Perhaps even IN TRANSIT TO EARTH as we speak. And dividing Earthlings and moving populations is all a precursor to their arrival? Perhaps their is an agenda to MAKE SPACE for an extra-terrestrial population tht is on the way

The squigglion have reached an agreement with the Cthulu. They have agreed to have humanity nearly exterminate itself and raise the surface temperature of the earth's oceans by several degrees centigrade, allowing Cthulu to waken and take command of the seas and skies, in return for colonization rights at the soon to become verdant poles.
Humanity will not entirely be exterminated, because both Cthulu and the Squigglion require feeding. How do you feel about aquaponics, and genetically modified food?
