@natbee56 there is a minor inaccuracy in the diagram that you posted:
uranus should be lying on its side, representing its axial tilt to the orbital plane of 98 degrees!
@FrozenFractals
You are absolutely right.

There are many, many more inaccuracies in this meme though:

- Venus is ≈2.5 times the size of Mercury, not the same size.
- Mars isn't bigger than Venus (nor is it remotely comparable in size to Saturn), it's smaller. Venus is ≈1.8 times the size of Mars.
- The sun is 10 times the size of Jupiter, not just twice the size.
- Saturn isn't smaller than Uranus, it's bigger (by a factor of ≈2.3). It's also 17.2 times the size of Mars, not comparable in size.
- Uranus and Neptune are virtually the same size (Uranus is only 3% bigger), not different sizes.
- Given that Neptune's (very, very faint) rings are shown, the rings of Uranus and Jupiter should also be shown
- Uranus has a light aquamarine atmosphere that's nearly featureless (in visible light) while Neptune's more saturated blue atmosphere has clouds and raging storms that are clearly visible (the meme has the features backwards and messed up Uranus's colour)
- Pluto should only be about 1/5 the size of Venus, not more than 1/2.
- The sun's light doesn't magically stop at the orbit of Jupiter

Well and Earth isn't flat, but that's the only inaccuracy intended by the meme ;-)

The actual relative sizes of the planets and the sun are illustrated here:
solarsystem.nasa.gov/resources/686/solar-system-sizes/

The relative sizes of the planets AND the gargantuan distances between the them are shown to scale on this website. Our solar system is inconceivably vast:

..and of course that pluto shouldn't be there on the list anymore.

or else there must be at least ceres and eris shown as well, and possibly haumea, makemake, orcus, gonggong, sedna (my fav!) and quaoar (the only one that couldn't guess the correct pronunciation from the spelling of its name)

the famous 2004 artist rendition pic of sedna used to be my phone homescreen wallpaper for such a long time in the past.

ps. the new layout update of the english wikipedia is so ugly.. uuggghhh!
