Auto draw after time runs out

White offered draw - as black I did not action on the draw offer - Black clock ran out of time - Game was declared "Draw by mutual agreement"

Why did white offer a draw? Seemingly, white didn't want more than a draw, and he got it.
Game was declared "Draw by mutual agreement" when black did not agree to draw.

#2 you can think of white's motives all day long and draw any conclusion.

Game result did not reflect intention of both players.

Whenever I lose, the game result does not reflect my intention.

Black ran out of time, a draw was the best he could get, whether it was his intention or not.
White offered a draw, so a draw reflects his intention.

I think #4 is correct. If player X offers a draw and player Y runs out of time without taking any action on the draw offer, the server will declare the game drawn.

(Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.)
IMHO it makes sense. OtOH, I tried to check if this scenario is mentioned in FIDE rules explicitly and it doesn't seem to be the case.

However, are we sure that black did not actually accept the draw shortly before time running out?
I ( black) did not action on the draw offer - my (black) time ran out and the game is concluded with "Draw by mutual agreement". What part of scenario was mutual?

"Mutual" is perhaps indeed not the right word in this case, but of course the word is there because the software has been written to regard the situation as the same as if you had accepted the draw offer, and in this much less frequently occurring case the wording is not quite appropriate.

I have to say though: weren't you happy with the game result? Without this quirk in the rules the server operates you should have lost the game on time.
If the scenario is part of chess rules it's one thing. Here, the server made decision on players behalf and stated it was agreed upon between the players. No it's not something to feel happy about.
