I came across with an interesting article yesterday. Lots of good advices in there.
http://www.chesshistory.com/winter/extra/fischer2.htmlVery interesting. Thanks. I have always been a big fan of Fischer.
I also like this article very much and it took me quite a while to solve the first(Fischer's own?) 'puzzler'. Many thanks
Fischer's proposal of changing the starting positions of the pieces, making more room for creativity, is the only way that the human race can retain its vitality in the face of inevitable technological progress. Like his chess clock, which is used more and more, his idea of a chess game will be accepted. The question is when?
I like seeing how open person he was. I didnt know he had his own articles in the news..that definitely took me by surprise. He wanted to share his chess knowledge for sure.
It seems to me, Fischer especially liked to devote his time to educating children(after all he wrote these articles for a 'boys¨' magazine) as he sort of did when he played chess with some kids in Iceland.
