Take back propostition & fair play, discussion with opponent

Well, to be honest if you can mouseslip in a classical game and then see it as your opponents duty to allow the take back then place your pieces properly. It is a request not a demand he has full and right power to disagree. I never allow takebacks because being able to use a mouse/pad is a skill even small childeren can do.

"Just accpet the take back request when it seems legit" And who says that? is it a RULE, IS IT IN FIDE? now stop making these threads i am sick of it
Mouseslips are mouseslips. People should be generous enough to allow a takeback when a mistake is made. Sometimes, it is merely a bad move, and you are responsible for the result, but I always accept takebacks (and sometimes offer them if my opponent blunders) when it is apparent that it is an accident. I played a similar game where a mouseslip dropped the Queen! I asked for a takeback and was rudely declined as my opponent clawed for any advantage he could get. I won that game too. The only time that people shouldn't expect takebacks for their mistakes are extremely rapid games such as Bullet.
All of you guys are stupid. Is fake online chess really this serious? Allow the takeback for God's sake!! It's not like it's otb chess. a mousle slip is a mouse slip, why are you being so harsh.
There is a funny observation in this topic: lower rated players, let's say below 1700, like to advocate takebacks as a usual practice, while all 2000+ are strongly against this and consider takebacks rather as a very rare exception.
I never ask or give takebakcs, never. And yes, I have tragically mouse slipped away winning games!
I would like to clarify the point.

I play rated online chess as practise for tournament chess. So I treat it like I would treat a tournament game, with the same rules. If you make a handslip in otb tournament blitz there are no takebacks, so if I want to practise for tournament mentality I ofcourse treat mouse slips in the same way.

I'm not the only one, infact, in my rating level here it's the standard to treat rated as tournament chess. This does not mean that chess is serious. It just means that it's tournament rules.

@ #16, never use the words all. I accept takebacks. The frustrating one is when you intend to capture a piece from far away and land it on the square in front of it.
I only accept take-backs in casual games, no matter the blunder. Rated games it kill or be killed. >:^D
