Human evolution, theory or hoax?

hal9k

Thanks for your contribution. Give me one proof of evolution. Describe one scientific evidence that makes this viable theory.
Thanks
Of books on evolution I have read a lot, thank you.
of course I will continue to read more
@Harutsedo
It would be better that they were to read books on evolution someone you. You understand from your answer that you never actually read a book on evolution.
Progress and evolution are two separate things. Human evolution is only a biological process which help humans survive to their environment. Human progress?, well, sadly, i'm still looking for it.
@Mizar

Ok I'll bite

The thing about science is that it works like this:
Scientist1: Here is a theory/model of how I think certain things happen, that I invented. Anybody has a better one?
Scientist2: I have this much more complicated theory about that thing that also explains/models what we see
All/Majority of Scientists: Ok guys, you might both be right. For the time being we accept the first one as a working theory (Occam Razor-ish) and keep expanding it and building on top of it to see if it might be useful in explaining other things we see and have no theory about right now as well. Of course dear Person2, feel free to work on yours as well. Maybe it will show to be better at eventually explaining more things that we don't understand

It is not about finding ultimate truths etc. It is a process of investigation and modelling the natural world (of course some scientists might find motivation in the ideal hope to some day find some ultimate truth).

Since you probably want to steer the conversation into a theological one. Try developing a theory based on the bible or whatever and then see if it looks simpler and if it explains more natural phenomenons than the existing "working theory". And to steer away from such discussion - I see absolutely no contradiction between science and religion and i am honestly baffled why this conversation even exists
Man didn't come from an animal.

It's a highly egoistic idea, one that gives humans no responsibility of their actions. If we are just animals, we don't need to worry about good or evil, right or wrong, honour or savagery.

Also it feels good to the ego to think that "we" rose above all other species and all nature and are now the kings of this earth.

So yeah, man from an animal is just an egoistic pipe dream.

If you feel angry, arrogant, scared or insulted by what I have wrote, then rest at ease knowing that it's just your belief system defending it's core beliefs, the foundations of your world view.
@NoLuckOnlySkill

One might argue that it is even more egocentric (I think maybe that is the word you are looking for) to think that you were created one day after the animals by somebody who loves you. At least evolution tells us we are the same/equal as animals. That "rising above" thing is your opinion - no such thing in evolution theory as it doesn't deal with such "rising above" stuff.

EDIT: Again it is you that uses words like "just animals". Looking for egocentricity? Well you know where to look
It's incorrect to even use word "believe" near "evolution".
Logic is not thing you can believe. It just exists.
Evolution is not God, it don't have axiom "Evoultion exists, therefore...".
If you want proofs, one of most asking is DNA similarities of all living creatures. Books on this topic are real gems, usually they are very interesting to read.
