etiquette in rated games

I personally don't want takebacks to be removed from lichess. It's nice to have that extra bit of security.
My statistics are: never allow myself any; allow my opponent only one in rated games; and always grant them in casual games.

In certain situations it's quite easy to distinguish between blunders and mouse slips. For example, a player moving their queen directly into a minor piece's range when they obviously meant to move two or such squares further.
While against take-back personally (one can configure options to remove the function), I guess it's all right between consenting adults!
Ouch. :(

Personally, I'm so accustomed to receiving inappropriate takeback requests (and losing on time to fast-moving players who mouseslip and I grant takebacks) that for rated games, I disable takebacks altogether. Maybe at some point I'll change that preference, but not today.
I have them on, but I honestly, never allow or ask for them. I even have a bad habit of occasionally missclicking castlings. It's an obvious mouse slip, but I don't request a take back. On other hand, botched castling is only situation where I do accept take back.

I've another problem, tho. Takebacks can be disabled, but draw offers can't, and they really are bothering me in 1 minute games and under time duress. I even lost games where I was far ahead materially, and back in time where opponent would keep offering draws in attempts to distract me.
I never understood this problem of "draw offers are a distraction".

You do not have to accept or deny them, just ignore it and keep playing.
Personally, I sometimes use Lichess on a small phone, and when my thumb is as big as 4 squares, I really appreciate when my opponent will accept my takeback for misclicks. I think it is really obvious if the move is a blunder or just a misclick and I will always accept takeback if it is a misclick or even just a rushed move.
